Role Description:

This is a hands-on role involving the full lifecycle of machine control systems—from concept development through to commissioning and support. You’ll be working on high-tech automated equipment, playing a key part in the design and implementation of complex control systems. A Valid Irish Driving licence is required

What you’ll do:

  • Design and integrate control system software for automated machinery, including PLCs, robotics, motion control, HMI, SCADA, and vision systems
  • Develop, test, commission, and provide ongoing support for control software solutions
  • Define system architectures, develop process flows, and produce software design specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and electrical standards (e.g., CE, machinery directives)
  • Interpret and develop documentation required for regulated environments
  • Specify control system hardware components based on project needs
  • Work directly with clients during the full project lifecycle including commissioning and after-sales support

The Requirements:

  • Proven experience in automation system design and development
  • Strong hands-on experience with PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Omron or similar)
  • Understanding of software architecture principles and industry standards (e.g., GAMP, ISA88/95, 21 CFR Part 11)
  • Demonstrated ability in equipment testing, troubleshooting and commissioning
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation in compliance-heavy industries
  • Working knowledge of robotics, motion control systems, machine vision, and pneumatics
  • A Valid Irish Driving licence
