As a key member of the Finance Team, the Finance Manager provides a high quality and commercially focused service to the Finance Department and the Finance Business Partners by providing accurate, timely and reliable financial information, analysis and reporting. They will be responsible for the bedding down of the new ERP system, performing the consolidated workings for the financial statements, along with a project-to-project focus on aligning and improving processes to allow the finance team to perform to a high standard. They need to be people focused and maintain a high-performance culture within the team. They will ensure performance meets or exceeds service requirements. They will participate in the financial support of the different Cost Centres and Entities to manage and control costs. Reporting to the Head of Finance they will be able to prioritise work, deliver smooth accounting operations to the business, and ensure timely recording and reporting of the results of the operations. The role requires an adaptable individual who will be flexible in their approach to work.
Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
Essential Job Function:
Provide Support for the Head of Finance during the implementation of ERP system and various add hoc projects
Take on a primary role in the ERP implementation project, ensuring its successful bedding down and integration into the business processes
Support the production of the monthly management accounts including variance and cost analysis, ensuring timely completion of all postings and adjustments, collaborating with the Finance Business Partners
Provide technical accounting advice to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and support the Finance team in complex accounting matters
Assist with the development of the financial systems across the business providing relevant KPI reporting to the business teams.
Embedding a strong focus on cost reduction, service excellence and continuous improvement for all the services delivered using benchmarks and best practice comparisons
Along with the Head of Finance ensure proper internal controls are in place and adhered to and coordinate audit and compliance activities.
Contributing to the interim and year end audits
Prepare consolidated accounts and perform the consolidated workings for the financial statements, liaising with the auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage the group companies to ensure an alignment of accounting structure and format
Maintain strong inter-departmental relationships to ensure the immediate resolution of problems as well as being responsive to future needs of the business
Control and support the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and work closely with the Finance Business Partners
Contributing to the forecasting and budgeting processes
Maintain, record, and control the accounts for a specific business unit, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and keep communications up to date with HR and the owner.
Work closely with the other members of the finance team to ensure smooth running of department. Actively contribute to the efficiency of the Finance department, by suggesting improvements and amending processes to improve performance
Supporting project work to facilitate the integration of all business units onto a central accounting and operating system
Participating in ongoing improvement, standardisation and re-engineering of processes and controls and implementation of best practices
Other duties and responsibilities identified by the Head of Finance as it relates to Finance.
Candidate Requirements
Fully Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA qualification. 6+ years PQE.
An energetic, dedicated approach combined with excellent organisation skills and a commitment to deadlines, targets and high work standards

Excellent technical knowledge
A strong communicator with excellent Interpersonal skills

Primarily based in Shannon however visits to other AAG sites may be required of the role
