Job Overview:
Reporting into the Global Payroll Manager, as our International Payroll Specialist you will be part of the wider EMEA Payroll team. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for primarily our newly established Ireland-based employees, UK, Australia, and upcoming entities in Europe. This role requires a thorough understanding of Irish payroll legislation, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
How Youβll Make A Difference:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process the monthly payroll for all Ireland-based employees, ensuring compliance with Irish tax and employment laws.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure that all employee data, including salary, benefits, taxes, and deductions, are up to date and correctly reflected in the payroll system.
- Compliance: Stay informed on changes in payroll laws and regulations in Ireland, ensuring that all payroll activities are compliant with the latest legal requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC, to the appropriate Irish authorities. Generate and distribute employee payslips.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner. Provide support and advice to employees on payroll matters.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly payroll reconciliations to ensure accuracy between payroll and general ledger accounts.
- Year-End Processing: Handle year-end payroll activities and other statutory returns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations and resolve any related issues.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the payroll function and assist in the implementation of new systems or procedures.
Who You Are:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, specifically within countries of the Ireland and UK. Additional experience with payrolls across EMEA (France, Germany, and other countries), APAC (Australia, Singapore) is a bonus.
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Payroll certifications are a plus. IPASS qualification is desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and strong MS Excel skills. Experience with Workday and CloudPay a bonus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Irish payroll legislation, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and other statutory requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly to employees.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Able to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
