Job Summary:


The EU Innovation Hub at Griffith College (GBS Hub) is looking for dynamic and innovative team players to join our active EU-funded projects. The hub currently has 4 EU-funded projects. This role will support the growth of the unit and support significant funding for projects and grants for Griffith College, moving it forward towards delegated authority and becoming a university.


 

Summary overview of the role:

  • Supporting EU-funded/tendered projects
  • Delivering on deadlines
  • Supporting plans to grow international partnership development
  • Supporting the efforts to motivate Griffith College staff to become involved in RDI 
  • Promoting the Hub internally and externally
  • Working on specific calls and proposals
  • Reporting to The Head of the Innovation Hub


Job Responsibilities:

  • The core function of the Senior Researcher (SR) is to support the team with EU project delivery
  • Carrying out day-to-day project activities on project work packages
  • Support the growth of the hub with innovative ideas and project calls
  • Attending weekly WIP meetings
  • Attending project meetings
  • Delivering on deadlines
  • EU project admin support when required


Desired capabilities:

  • Project management experience is essential
  • An energetic self-starter is essential
  • Industry experience
  • Good at design programmes, e.g. Canva, PowerPoint or Photoshop
  • Subject matter expert desirable e.g., Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship)
  • Entrepreneurial experience desirable
  • Well-connected with contacts 
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Natural relationship builder
  • Excellent analysis and insight skills to drive actionable data-informed decision-making
  • Driving connections with industry and entrepreneurs
