Software Engineering Intern

Where we Work

Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

About this role 

As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the design, and implementation of the various services in the monetisation platform. We have an exciting road map ahead of us across all of the above systems and it is also a unique opportunity to build core components at scale.

What you’ll be doing

• As a member of the team, you will be working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, interacting with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to identify opportunities and implement solutions.

• You will relentlessly refactor existing systems to make them more robust, maintainable, and scalable

• Work on innovative ideas in the pricing & promotion domain to be future-ready

What you’ll have 

• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

• Design and architecture knowledge, as well as familiarity with object-oriented design patterns.

• Troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
