Construction Project Manager

Role: Project Manager/ Senior Site Engineer
Location: Kilkenny, Ireland
Type: Permanent

Parker Stewart are working with a well known Public, Civil Engineering, Building & Private specialist contractor to hire a Project Manager. This position will primarily be onsite at the Kilkenny location.
 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-efficiency.

• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme and performance targets are met.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and addressing any issues that may impact delivery.

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety legislation, company policies, and project specifications.

• Oversee procurement schedules, budget control, and resource planning to maintain project profitability and compliance.

Experience & Qualifications Required

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the construction industry

• Proven track record delivering projects in at least two of the following sectors: public, civil engineering, building, or private/residential

• Strong understanding of construction processes, technical drawings, and contract administratio (e.g., NEC, JCT).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering); SMSTS and CSCS
