About the Programme
Are you an Electrical Engineering student eager to gain real-world design and project experience? Ethos’ Internship Programme offers you the chance to rotate across teams within our Engineering Studio, where you will work on live client projects under the guidance of senior engineers and a dedicated buddy. This cross-disciplinary model ensures exposure to a wide range of building services disciplines, preparing you for both your academic progression and future career in the building services industry.
You will be part of a collaborative and people-focused environment, where every contribution is valued. Our interns don’t just observe – they actively participate, applying knowledge from university in a professional setting, gaining skills that set them apart for graduate roles.

Experience & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
- This role is hybrid, requiring candidates to be based in Ireland with mandatory attendance in our Dublin office three (3) times a week.
- Previous placement or project experience in building services is beneficial but not required.

- Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
- Adaptable and willing to engage across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in the building services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, life-safety, and low-voltage systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through rotations in different groups, gaining a broad understanding of building services disciplines.
- Conduct technical research and analysis to support engineering decisions.
- Assist in preparing technical drawings, reports, and design documentation using industry-standard tools.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN standards.
- Attend project meetings, training sessions, and workshops to expand your technical and professional knowledge.
- Visit project sites to observe installations, inspections, and commissioning activities, gaining hands-on field experience.
- Contribute ideas for sustainable and energy-efficient electrical solutions.
