What is the role? 
The Production Supervisor will manage and motivate the Process Specialist teams, production operators and line leaders. They will be responsible for the safety of their team and themselves, quality compliance, production output, and frontline personnel management on their shift. They will create and update production plans across the three shifts daily.
The Production Supervisor will lead shift 5mm and shift performance meeting its requirements regarding quality, cost, delivery, supply, safety, and people. This person will contribute cross-functionally to the other shifts and departments, collaborating to ensure that best practices are shared within the manufacturing environment.

What are the key responsibilities? 
• Coordinate, motivate, and manage to deliver best-in-class performance metrics and KPIs on their shift, from component receipt to on-time shipping to customers in an ISO13485 manufacturing environment. 
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality Assurance to develop, maintain and execute a workable production plan across the 3 shifts
• Ensure that all Personnel Management, Safety, Quality, Regulatory, Housekeeping, and Environmental systems are fully complied with by all team members on the shift. 
• Develop the team through appropriate selection, training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure a high-performance production unit that meets and exceeds company expectations.
• Develop Operational plans in conjunction with the Site Production manager to ensure alignment with the overall Site and Operations functions strategy
• Identify and promote a continuous and positive improvement culture across all areas (safety, quality, compliance, output, efficiency, and others), using best international practices. 
• Facilitate investigations, troubleshooting, and reporting on process and systems failures, product defects and non-conformance using the appropriate tools and techniques, 
• Actively promote and participate in work center improvement groups and project teams to improve quality, reduce costs, increase output, eliminate 
waste, and improve the environment, working conditions, and methods through CI initiatives and lean tools.
• Conduct performance management of direct reports to support the high performance and development of the manufacturing teams in meeting company objectives.
• Interact and liaise with quality, warehousing, planning, customer service and other manufacturing teams to achieve necessary outcomes
• Manage process flows, space management and working with colleagues to maximise usage.
• Work in conjunction with technical engineering and quality departments to manage resources to support trial builds new product introductions, and new process inductions. 
• Administration duties, which include updating metrics, Time and Attendance system, Holiday planning, etc
• Complete special projects and assignments as requested. 
• Collaborating cross-functionally to support the introduction of new processes.

What education and experience are required? 
• Minimum level 6 in  relevant discipline. 
• At least 2 years of production team-leading experience in a manufacturing environment.

• An analytical and rational thinker who can multi-task.
• Ability to effectively manage a simultaneous range of diverting activities.
• Good understanding of ERP system modules and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Power bi)
• Proven ability to work under own initiative inclusively with all work colleagues
