Our client, a leading organisation in the Irish market, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their IT transformation team on a daily rate contract. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple complex technology projects, including major Azure cloud and Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget and timeline.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors and senior stakeholders to drive project governance, manage risk and ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver large-scale IT projects, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure initiatives.
- Manage all stages of the project lifecycle β from initiation and planning to execution, delivery and post-implementation review.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, schedules, budgets, RAID logs and status reports.
- Define clear project objectives, success metrics and governance structures in line with corporate standards.
- Engage and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure effective change management, communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive delivery excellence by enforcing project management best practices and continuous improvement.
- Support procurement processes and contract negotiations as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ yearsβ experience managing large, complex IT projects in enterprise environments.
- Proven track record delivering cloud-based and ERP/CRM projects, ideally with Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management experience, including third-party integrators.
- Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, schedules and resource allocation in matrix environments.
- Excellent understanding of project governance frameworks and risk management principles.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
Qualifications
- PMP or Prince2 Practitioner certification (mandatory).
- Agile / Scrum certification desirable (e.g. CSM, PMI-ACP).
- Relevant third-level qualification in IT, Business, or Project Management.
