Assist consultants with orthopaedic procedures while maintaining and enhancing clinical standards of care. Conduct patient consultations, manage follow\-up calls, coordinate appointments, and support the efficient delivery of outpatient services. Provide comprehensive patient and family education in both clinic and telephone settings, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all interactions. Adhere strictly to the Professional Scope of Practice Framework (2015) and all hospital\-wide policies to ensure optimal clinical governance and patient safety. Contribute to data collection, statistical reporting, outcome evaluations, and participate in research initiatives supporting departmental practice. Maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with consultants, physicians, hospital departments, patients, and families to maximise patient outcomes. Promote professional development by maintaining a portfolio, attending relevant study days, and sustaining clinical competence in the Orthopaedic specialty. Act as a mentor, preceptor, or supervisor to students and newly appointed staff, fostering a respectful, supportive, and professional working environment. Hold active registration as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), maintaining licensure in good standing.
