System Administrator/ Dev Ops - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Fineco Asset Management DAC (‘FAM’) is the Dublin based UCITS asset management company (Man Co) a subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. (“FinecoBank”). FinecoBank (“Fineco”) is a leading European bank with a 20-year history and a fully digital DNA with a branchless approach since the start. Fineco is one of the banks with the widest products range available. Fineco have developed a truly one-stop-solution which includes trading, investment and payment services. Fineco have developed a 100% proprietary platform for trading and investment which covers all customer needs from trading listed and OTC product to investment product such as mutual funds and ETF.
Fineco AM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS Management Company and it currently has approximately €32bn in assets under management. Fineco AM is a competence centre- specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds. In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally. Fineco AM started with 5 employees and has grown rapidly over the past 6 years with a headcount currently sitting at 80 FTEs and growing quickly (half of our headcount was hired during the pandemic period).
Currently Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds - in Luxembourg (1 fund) and in Ireland (2 funds). The Company is in the process of extending its authorisation to become a Super ManCo (with an AIFM and MiFID top up licence).


The Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a new Sys Admin/Dev Ops to join our IT Team. This role will report into the Head of IT. This is a new role and reduce support from external partners to ensure full ownership accountability of responsibilities for environment management, availability and security internally. The role reports to Head of IT and has the support of an internal IT Support resource. The person will be responsible for the support and operations of IT services, including management of cyber security threats.
Please note: This is a one-year fixed term contract.


Responsibilities
• Systems Administration and Maintenance of a variety of cloud-based systems.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards in accordance with group policies.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Firewall and switch management
• Implement and oversee backup / availability strategies.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software or virtual infrastructure failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
• Develop and deploy scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure CLI.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Azure Functions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Ensure security and compliance of cloud resources using Intune, Azure Security Centre, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud and Azure Key Vault.
• Collaborate with software developers and end users to ensure quality and performance of applications.
• Incident Management. Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time.
• Assist with infosec audits.
• Work with 3rd party support and service providers.


Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in sys admin, devops, cloud computing, or software development.
• 3+ years of experience working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Proficient in Azure cloud services, such as Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Event Grid. Experience with Snowflake is an advantage.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Strong working knowledge of container-based infrastructure on Azure (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, and auditing.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• 3 – 5 years of technical experience as a systems administrator.
